Three artists at the Secession and summer kick off in the MUQUA

The Secession opening night with three interesting shows by very different artists: Jiří Kovanda (CZ) "White Blanket" turns the Secession into a maze like invironment, where the visitor dwarfs and the architecture of the room takes over. Anna Artaker (AUT) shows boxes with stereo photographies of death masks of prominent soviet figures by Sergei Merkurov, a Armenian-Sovjet sculptor. Francis Uprichard (NZ) creates environments where strange creatures live in a world full of cultural reference - "Into the cave". This year in the MUQUA summer is Candy Shop Pink and the crowd once again reclaimed the spaces.

Vernissage in der Secession: Jiri Kovanda (CZ) "White Blanket", ein Irrgarten verstellt die Sicht und öffnet die Augen für die Architektur des Hauptraums, Anna Artaker (AUT) zeigt eine Installation mit Stereofotos von Totenmasken berühmter Sovjetgrößen des Armenisch-Sovjetischen Bildhauers Sergei Merkurov. Francis Uprichard (NZ) "Into the cave" - seltsame Kreaturen bewohnen eine Welt voll kultureller Referenzen. Und im MUQUA ist der Sommer heuer Zuckerlecken-Rosa.
