Arnulf Rainer at ALBERTINA

The ALBERTINA honours the internationally renowned austrian artist Arnulf Rainer on the occasion of his 85th birthday with a comprehensive retrospective, in which important stations of his complex artistic development are presented through key works. The works range from Rainer’s early works with central forms, over-paintings, and crucifixes, through the self-depictions of the Face Farces and Body Poses and the reworkings into death masks and veiled pictures, up to the most recently created works. Sep 3rd, 2014 to Jan 1st, 2015.

Die ALBERTINA würdigt Arnulf Rainer anlässlich seines 85. Geburtstages mit einer umfassenden Retrospektive, in der wesentliche Stationen seines komplexen Schaffens mit Schlüsselwerken präsentiert werden.  Die Werke reichen von frühen Arbeiten, Übermalungen und Kreuze, über die Face Farces und Body Poses bis zu überarbeiteten Totenmasken und erst kürzlich entstandenen Arbeiten. 3. The new / das neue ARNULF RAINER MUSEUM

A walk thru on Sunday at the ARNULF RAINER MUSEUM in Baden near Vienna. The "Frauenbad" was beautifully renovated by the architects Lottersberger-Messner-Dumpelnik, trying to keep most of the charm of the old building!

Ein sonntäglicher Rundgang durch das ARNULF RAINER MUSEUM in Baden. Die sensible Renovierung und der Umbau zu einem modernen Museum durch das Architektenteam Lottersberger-Messner-Dumpelnik haben viel vom Charme des alten "Frauenbads" erhalten!

The first show in the new ARNULF RAINER MUSEUM in Baden near Vienna Arnulf Rainer "The Beginning is Always the Hardest" shows Early Works from 1949 to 1961. The exhibition runs till April 2010.
