In this exhibition about video art the Essl Museum presents twelve works (all part of the Essl Collection) by eleven international artists, A newly restored key work in the evolution of video art by Marie-Jo Lafontaine "Les Larmes D’acier" is shown alongside works by VALIE EXPORT, Nam June Paik, Bill Viola, Kateřina Šedá, Jakub Nepraš, Christian Gonzenbach and more. Until May 13, 2012.
Das Essl Museum zeigt 12 Positionen von 11 internationalen (Video)-Künstlern aus der Sammlung Essl. Darunter auch „Les Larmes D’acier“ von Marie-Jo Lafontaine, ein Schlüsselwerke in der Entwicklung der Medienkunst. Die Bandbreite der Arbeiten reicht von Videoinstallationen über Projektionen, objektgebundenen Monitordisplays bis zur Zurschaustellung von Artefakten.
