The Excitement Continues im Leopold Museum

As part of the ten-year anniversary of the Leopold Museum’s opening the exhibition "The Excitement Continues" presents for the first time in a museum works from the Leopold II Collection. In this Rudolf Leopold collected mostly austrian art from post war to contemporary art and purchased mostly works not so much for their sheer art historical value but for his own taste, likes and excitement. Oct. 14, .2011 until Jan. 30, 2012

Als Teil der Ausstellungen zum 10jahres-Tag der Eröffnung des Leopold Museums zeigt "The Excitement Continues" zum ersten mal Werke aus der Sammlung Leopold II. Nach dem Verkauf seiner Sammlung an die Republik Österreich und der Gründung des Leopold Museums widmete sich Rudolf Leopold auch der österreichischen Kunst von der Nachkriegszeit bis zu zeitgenössischen Positionen. Bei den Ankäufen für diese Sammlung hatte Leopold dabei nicht so sehr abgesicherte Werte der Kunstgeschichte im Auge als seine ganz persönlichen Vorlieben und Kunst für sein "Exitement". 14.10.2011 - 30.01.2012.
