At the occasion of Georg Baselitz' 75th birthday Karlheinz Essl has curated a show of 44 works from the artist owned by the ESSL COLLECTION. The works in the show are spanning the years from 1968 to 2012 are hung not chronologic or by themes but rather to confront Baselitz' different approaches to painting over the years..
Karlheinz Essl hat aus der SAMMLUNG ESSL 44 Bilder ausgesucht für die große Georg Baselitz Ausstellung anläßlich seines 75 Geburtstages a, 23.01.2013. Die Arbeiten, die zwischen 1968 und 2012 entstanden, sind nicht chronologisch oder thematisch gehängt sondern treten miteinander in Dialog indem sie die verschiedenen malerischen Ansätze Baselitz veranschaulichen. Zur Ausstellung erscheint ein Katalog. 18.01.2013 – 20.05.2013.
