Ed Ruscha, Philipp Timischl, Kris Lemsalu at SECESSION

Ed Ruscha's exhibition Double Americanisms at the main hall of the SECESSION showcases altogether fifty-seven mainly recent works—conceptual digital prints and an extended series of painted language pictures as well as handmade book objects and artist’s books in display cases. Artworks For All Age Groups, the exhibition PhilippTimischl has created for his show at the Secession, is an orchestrated installation of photographs, collages, and sculptures. Keys Open Doors: The Estonian artist Kris Lemsalu creates complex sculptures, installations, and performances that fuse the animal kingdom with humankind, nature with the artificial, beauty with repulsion, lightness with gravity, life with death. In Ed Ruschas Ausstellung Double Americanisms im Hauptraum der SECESSION sind insgesamt 57 neueste Arbeiten – neben konzeptuellen Digitaldrucken und einer umfassenden Serie von gemalten Spruchbildern auch von Hand bearbeitete Buchobjekte und Künstlerbücher in Vitrinen. Philipp Timischls für die Secession geschaffene Ausstellung Artworks For All Age Groups umfasst Fotografien, Bildwerke und Skulpturen, die vom ihm installativ inszeniert werden. Keys Open Doors: Kris Lemsalu schafft in ihren vielschichtigen Skulpturen, Installationen und Performances Verschmelzungen von Tieren mit Menschen, Natürlichkeit mit Künstlichkeit, Schönheit mit Abstoßung, Leichtigkeit mit Schwerkraft, Leben mit Tod. 16.11.2018 – 20.01.2019.
