At MARIO MAURONER CONTEMPORARY ART you can see sculptures made of or combined with neon lights by BERNHARD ROIG.
TAL R is guest at GALLERY ELISABETH & KLAUS THOMAN with FOG OVER MALIA BAY with works inspired by a expedition to Greenland in summer 2011.
TOM FRUIN's Sketches in Steel at GALLERY HEIKE CURTZE show small skale sketches and studies for Fruin's monumental sculptures.

FINE SOUND at WEISSES HAUS

With "FINE SOUND keine medienkunst" WEISSES HAUS presents soundspaces, sound installations and sound sculptures. Soundproduction from soundabsence, patterns of tones and repetitive notes, sequences and interferences of noises to musical structures. Each object, defining a standalone soundspace that has to enter into a dialog with the architectural situation and has to deal with the presence of other soundspaces. Feb 20th to March 30th, 2013.

Clouds.Fleeting Worlds at LEOPOLD Museum

From 1800 artists paid increasing attention to the motif of clouds. These strange, elusive formations consisting of water, air and light appear as conveyors of different emotions and messages. Bushy clouds in a sunny sky seem to be an almost indispensible feature in idyllic depictions of nature. A sky traversed by dark rain and thunder clouds is perceived as threatening and a band of clouds bathed in the red evening light sets a melancholy mood. Filmed or photographed man made clouds that appear out of control as a result of technical intervention, such as exhaust fumes and atomic explosions or the more poetic gas filled Silver Clouds by Andy Warhol add even more aspects.
The presentation at LEOPOLD MUSEUM curated by Tobias G. Natter and Franz Smola features works by Caspar David Friedrich,William Turner, Claude Monet, Alfred Sisley, Paul Cézanne, Vincent van Gogh, John Constable, Ferdinand Hodler, Gustav Klimt, Egon Schiele, Edvard Munch, Emil Nolde, René Magritte, Ansel Adams, Alfred Stieglitz, Edward Steichen, Gerhard Richter, Anselm Kiefer, Paul Wolff, Olivier Masmonteil, Bruce Conner and many more. 22 March 2013 - 01 July 2013.

Das LEOPOLD MUSEUM zeigt in der Ausstellung "Wolken. Welt des Flüchtigen" Wolkenbilder vom frühen 19. Jahrhundert bis heute – von William Turner bis Gerhard Richter. Wolken, diese schwer fassbare Gebilde aus Wasser, Luft und Licht lösen beim Betrachter unterschiedliche Empfindungen und Botschaften aus: Wolken im sonnigen Himmel als Naturidylle, bedrohliche dunkle Regen- oder Gewitterwolken, ein in Abendlicht getauchtes Wolkenband lösst melancholische Empfindungen aus. Aber auch Unheil verkündende von Menschenhand erzeugte Wolkenmassen, von rauchenden Abgasen bis zu atomaren Explosionen, sind ebenso in der Schau vertreten wie Andy Warhols künstliche Gas gefüllte Silver Clouds. Christine König Gallery presents "Minimal Compact" - with their works VICKEN PARSO, NATALIA ZALUSKA, ANETTA MONA CHISA und LUCIA TKOCAVA open a discourse about violence and danger, reality and illusion. "Städtebauliche Prosa" is the titel of a show at Kerstin Engholm Gallery withj works by HENDRIK KRAWEN, DOMINIK LOUDA, BILLIE MESKENS und BERND TRASBERGER. At Gallery Andreas Huber RITA SOBRAL CAMPOS shows sculptures and installations inspired by Friedrich II and the medieval culture - "Neon Medieval". Georg Kargl Box is "Remembering RICHARD ARTSCHWAGER", who died Feb 9th, 2013. At Michaela Stock you can see ALEXANDER VISCIO's performances and installations Hardplace Rock, and Occupy A.I.R.

Galerie Christine König zeigt "Minimal Compact" - VICKEN PARSO, NATALIA ZALUSKA, ANETTA MONA CHISA und LUCIA TKOCAVA eröffnen mit ihren Arbeiten einen Diskurs über Gewalt, Gefahr Wirklichkeit und Illusion. "Städtebauliche Prosa" ist der Titel der Ausstellung in der Galerie Kerstin Engholm mit Arbeiten von HENDRIK KRAWEN, DOMINIK LOUDA, BILLIE MESKENS und BERND TRASBERGER. In der Galerie Andreas Huber zeigt RITA SOBRAL CAMPOS Skulpturen und Installationen, die von der mittelalterlichen Kulur und der Person Friedrich II inspiriert sind. Dem am 9. Februar verstorbenen RICHARD ARTSCHWAGER gedenkt eine kleine Schau in der Georg Kargl Box.
